The fibre optic between Roubaix and Bruxelles
is cut.
The 10G Roubaix/Amsterdam are secured by London
and the networks are up.
The 10G Roubaix/Frankfurt are secured by Paris/Strasbourg
and the network is up.
The 10G Roubaix/Brussels are not secured.
The router has been isolated. The traffic is flowing via
other PoPs. https://status.ovh.co.uk/?do=details&id=5332
We're looking into the cause of the cut.
Update(s):
Date: 2013-09-06 15:00:49 UTC We are replacing the DLM involved. 10 circuits towards Frankfurt are currently out of service.
Date: 2013-09-05 16:51:32 UTC The link was restored at 13:00, however we have had difficulties in switching all the circuits back to their primary pathways. It's now been done, but we had to reboot the cards on Brussels and Roubaix to manage to do it. It seems that a DLM in Roubaix is the cause of the problem. We are working with Infinera to understand exactly what happened.
The Roubaix <> Amsterdam and Roubaix <> Frankfurt link are functioning nominally.
Date: 2013-09-05 11:04:41 UTC We now have more information on the cause of the issue. Maintenance was organised last night to reroute our pair of fibres towards a new cable, but we sent an incorrect notification. It was carried out on the section of the cable between Nazareth and Brussels (i.e. between Brussels and Roubaix), although the maintenance had been initially announced on the Brussels/Anvers section (i.e. towards Amsterdam).
In addition to that (we don't yet know if this is linked to the first error), the pair of fibres wasn't put back correctly at the end of the maintenance works. A tech guy is currently on site in Brussels and another is on the way to Nazareth. We expect it be resolved within approximately 1hr.
Date: 2013-09-05 10:54:28 UTC The link is still down. We are investigating with our provider.
Date: 2013-09-05 08:20:45 UTC Maintenance is underway with our provider.
The servic should be restored by 4:00am UTC.
Date: 2013-09-05 08:19:53 UTC We have identified the problem with the fibre located between Nazareth and Bruxelles.
Our provider is investigating.
